THE KING OF DIAMONDS IN ITS POSITIVE ASPECT

We must begin by saying that the cards representing the King, Queen, and Jack, in the four suits of the deck, have traditionally been associated with people. The King used to represent a mature, professional man, focused on an economic activity as the most notable characteristic; the Queen a woman with a certain degree of physical and emotional maturity; and the Jack a young person of either sex. Advances in society mean that this interpretation is no longer completely correct. A King can represent a woman in a position of authority, while, for example, a Jack can represent someone who feels young even though they may no longer be, or who is perceived as childish without necessarily being so. It is advisable for the interpreter to act with a certain degree of adaptability to be able to correctly identify this type of cards and the message they send, according to the interested party's question, the context of the spread, the interrelationship with the surrounding cards, etc.

That being said, the King of Diamonds, in its positive aspect, tends to be associated with wealth, power, and a privileged social position. It's often seen as a card representing someone in a position of authority commonly related to law or politics. It's also associated with multinational corporations and governments and their administrative departments or areas. Regarding the characteristics of the person represented by this card, we must consider that, in its positive aspect, they are methodical, organized, reliable, and patient, although they can sometimes be a bit slow to decide or act.

THE KING OF DIAMONDS IN ITS NEGATIVE ASPECT

In its most negative aspect, the King of Diamonds can represent professional failure, the ending of a business dedicated to providing professional services such as a doctor, an accountant, an architect, an engineer or an attorney, etc., the possible subjection of the interested party to a disciplinary procedure related to their professional activity or, directly, the sanction consisting of depriving said person of being able to dedicate themselves to this activity for a certain period of time or permanently, if the sanction is serious enough, as being disbarred for instance.

Regarding the characteristics of this card, in its negative orientation, we usually see a boring, monotonous, and materialistic person who tends to be stubborn and has difficulty getting along with others. Occasionally, it can represent someone with tendencies towards domination, tyranny, or despotism.
